Hey there, I'm Mark Joiner.
My experience has shown that life isn't always fair. It can take us down a road that we wouldn't choose for ourselves, and our circumstances can leave us feeling isolated and overwhelmed. While each person's story is private and unique, I believe there is a need inside of us all to share our story, to connect and have other people bear witness to our experiences.
I believe that our stories are actively being written. While we have been influenced by our past, our past does not have to determine who we are to become. Change is possible! I have witnessed the freedom and power of getting to the root of issues rather than chasing symptoms, and I am passionate to work with others to experience that freedom as well.
I am a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in the state of Missouri. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. I am a grateful husband, father and friend. In my spare time you will find me on a trail hiking or mountian biking.
"No one ever told me that grief felt so much like fear. I am not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning. I keep on swallowing."
